Can you tell us a little more about your designs for FLOOR_STORY and exactly what inspired them?

Wrong Angle, my rug design for FLOOR_STORY, is the realisation of a project that I first developed some years ago. The design is about colour tones, scale and lines; the rug design frames a floor space allowing endless configurations to be aligned or layered, which in turn allows loose furniture or objects to be placed and connected into a grid pattern. The idea works as an independent rug or as a community of rugs, with or without furniture.

Warm, comfortable – and creative.

What attracted you to working with FLOOR_STORY?

I like the set-up at FLOOR_STORY. The quality of the end product is high and Simon has a good knowledge of manufacturing combined with commercial experience.

Can you describe your new rugs?

They’re simple, but very effective… the design is deliberately understated but it adds character to an interior.

How do the rugs make you feel?

Warm, comfortable – and creative. Rugs are very important in any interior scheme. They can say a lot about a place or a person.
