In these times of lockdown many institutions have made their content available for free as an opportunity for everyone to stay connected with the outside world. We have gathered some of our favourite, whether it is virtual travel, exhibition or performance.
The National Theatre
Each week The National Theatre is making available for free on Youtube one their most successful productions, including Jane Eyre, Treasure Island and many others. You can even print your own tickets to make the experience more authentic. You can also donate to support the Theatre and its initiative.
Boiler Room
Boiler room has started a live series of videos called Streaming From Isolation. The artists are playing live from their home but the videos remain available on their youtube channel after. The project is a Fundraiser with all the proceeds going the The Global Foodbanking Network.
Google Arts & Culture
Across the years Google Arts & Culture has partnered with a wide range of worldwide institutions and has become a goldmine of online resources. You can explorecollections from museums around the world,visit virtually the 2015 Venice Biennale,get a 360 look around Paris's rooftopsorAlexander MacQueen's collections, takestreet art virtual toursand so on.
