The Rugs

For the rugs we used the Pill rug from our collaboration with the 2LG Studio, this was a custom colour and a custom sized made to fit perfectly in the boardroom. The remainder of the rugs we used were the very popular Path rug by fellow Scot Catherine Macgruer. A stunning Art Deco design that uses just two colours in a mixture of wool and bamboo silk. Like before, each rug was custom coloured and custom sized and for the first time we made these in a circle shape which now feature in our permanent range. All rugs were stain treated then ‘white glove’ installed over non slip underlay.

The Rugs

"

This was a great project with tricky hurdles to get over, distance, Covid, a new install team; but all obstacles tackled and the job was delivered perfectly and the client was more than happy.

The centre piece

The centre piece

The centre piece of this project was a graduated colour stair runner. This was a tricky part to get right, Aberdeen is a long way from London. We worked closely with our good friends at Millers Flooring in Glasgow, They did the initial site visit, measure, template and the final instalment. The plans and templates were sent to us in London then on to India to make each step perfectly as no mistakes could be made. Our head designer spent a lot of time with Claire at our studio in Shoreditch getting the colours perfect using our ARS colour system and matching them to their fabric and paint samples.
