CURB: Collection Launch

A collection of bordered rugs, drawn from the alignment of pavement slabs and parallel paint lines found in unrefined, urban settings.

The Collection

CURB, our latest collection with designer Gill Thorpe, is drawn from the parallel alignment of pavement slabs and paint lines found in unrefined, urban settings.

These cityscape influences have been translated into a series of colourways that recontextualise the unpolished inner city aesthetic. Each rug from the collection explores the beauty of irregularity - featuring bold borders overlaid onto textural woven backdrops.

Gradient painterly textures contrast with linear bordered lines to give the tufted rugs depth whilst clean asymmetrical lines reveal an unconventional, flatwoven design.

The Beauty of Irregularity

CURB breathes new life into traditional bordered rugs, which play the trick of making smaller spaces feel bigger and larger spaces more centered. With options of muted or bold colour-centric palettes, these rugs allow you to play around with matching or contrasting textures and materials to create a considered space. Custom size and colour options available, get in touch to brief us on your vision.

Each rug is hand-made using New Zealand Wool in India. All rugs from the collection are All rugs that we manufacture are fair trade assured by Label STEP.

Gill Thorpe

Through her exploration of natural and built environments, Gill Thorpe stylistically draws on contrasting lines and fluidity by staying true to the gritty nature of her visual references. Gill explores themes of tactility and surface manipulation to form rug collections that elevates materiality and surface design into contemporary interior spaces.
