Behind the collaboration
FLOOR_STORY has long been a supporter of Choose Love, the pioneering new movement in humanitarian response that has been supporting refugees and displaced people since 2015. At Christmas we would usually ‘Buy the Shop’ at Choose Love’s annual pop-up store but this year we were keen to take our support up a notch.
What began as a conversation about creating a non-profit rug has resulted in the launch of a two-part collaboration which features the Din dins collection, a series of handwoven rugs as well as finely hand knotted rug art with the Choose Love logo made our out waste wool yarns

About Choose Love
You may have heard of Choose Love through their innovative online and pop-up shop where, as founder Josie Naughton puts it, ‘People come in, buy items we distribute and leave with nothing’. To break it down, you can buy much-needed items for refugees, such as a ‘Bundle of Warmth’ which includes necessities such as blankets and hot food.
There’s also support directly for the LGBTQIA+ community and women’s support & safety along with many vital ‘bundles’’ to improve the safety and well-being of refugees across the globe. They also have direct support for those facing emergencies such as the recent earthquake in Syria.
The collaborative element of Choose Love is an integral part of fundraising and raising awareness towards the organisation and its positive impact.
