Step into a dynamic and lively showroom space that walks you through contemporary rug launches, contextualised in playful furniture set-ups by Sancal.
CONFIGURATIONS: A showroom installation
FLOOR_STORY returns to London Design Festival and Shoreditch Design Week 2026 with five new rug collaborations, each born from a genuine creative dialogue. In partnership with Sancal and curated by Trifle* Creative, the Shoreditch showroom will be transformed into a series of roomsets.
2026 marks a new chapter for FLOOR_STORY: five designers, five distinct practices, five rugs. Each collaborator has brought their own creative instincts to the process of rug-making, with results that range widely in technique, scale, colour and finish.
Coco Lom, Les Keepers, Lakwena, POoR Collective and House of Quinn each translate their creative world into the language of the rug-making.
Build a Rug Design
We are inviting you to join in on the creativity by constructing a rug design.
Functioning as an ongoing activity within the space, a section of the showroom will be dedicated to exploring the creative process of building a rug design. Colour, texture and form will be explored through different paper textures, and used to imagine rug-making techniques such as pile heights, carving and mottling.
A few of the designers will be dropping by and taking part with the workshop, giving insight on some of the design decisions they made during the process, more information will be posted on their instagram page in the lead-up to the event.
FLOOR_STORY and some of the 2026 designers will be selecting a design to put into production, giving you the opportunity to have your design brought to life.

Within this tufted rug, Coco Lom’s speckled shapes and signature contrasting colour blocking in deliciously cooling colours of tonal blues and greens will pull you into its soft touch, inspiring moments of spontaneity and reflection alike.
Les Keepers
Jogakbo
Bringing nature closer to daily life, the patterns within the Jogakbo rug design evoke the feeling of exploring a wild garden. An entanglement of hand-painted geometric lines overlap and harmonise, the breaking patterns add an off-beat rhythm and character into interior spaces.
Lakwena
HOME & PEACE
Introducing the uplifting energy of Lakwena’s art into interiors and looking to wool poms as the medium of finessing a rug design, the HOME & PEACE rug showcases a graphic language into a tufted rug which brings both a bold and grounding energy into a space.
POoR Collective
POWER
POWER, where a rug becomes a visual metaphor for collective energy, its pattern formed in reference to the intersecting lines of deck access city tower blocks that are part of the social and visual landscape of London.
House of Quinn
Arrangements
Constructing the artwork for the Arrangement rug began by looking back at traditional design features like borders and central motifs and interpreting these through the textural marks of paint brush strokes. After the initial mark making response to these elements often seen in rugs, they were repositioned into a series of compositions, which led to an assemblage that balanced the contrasting elements.
