2025 All Wrapped Up

It's been a ride

We’re been looking back on the past year, reminiscing over the many rugs we’ve launched in collaboration with designers from a breadth of mediums with thanks to all those involved with the photography, launch parties, talks and workshops.

Collaboration is at the heart of what we do, from designing with London-based creative practitioners to the weavers in India and Nepal who stamp their skills into our handmade rugs.

We’re grateful to be working with these talented people, a toast to incredible stories that we’ve shared with our community.

Trip to India & Nepal

In February, director Simon and Communications Manager Bekah visited the weavers in India and Nepal, learning more about the production as well as the work non profit Label STEP has been doing for health and wellbeing.

During this time we met the Dye Master in Nepal, and saw the construction of an oversized flatweave made in a local village in India.

The Paul Mellon Centre

The interior design team at trifle* creative did a brilliant job renovating the beloved Paul Mellon Centre offices, letting arts&crafts references lead the way. We developed two bespoke rugs based on the design scheme, the two handknotted rugs was a real vocal point.

We loved the character they brought so much that we added them to our online shop.

L’art de la sol

We went totally gingham with Henry Holland Studio, these shaped rugs were a play on french platters which looked sublime in this Georgian home in Richmond.

We launched the collection in our showroom in July and it was great to see so many of you there!

DUCT

A translation of surface manipulation created with duct tape saw an everyday material put into the context of a handmade rug design available in a two-tone tufted or a three-tone hand knotted.

The textured effect is created by defined, abstract shapes that overlap and fold into each other.

Allotment

Designer Gill Thorpe envisioned  a contemporary vintage-inspired collection and so we produced exactly that with Turquoise Mountain, each rug handmade in Afghanistan with the support of Label STEP.

The striking rug designs are available in a breadth of colourways, tailored to suit all manners of interior spaces.

London Design Festival 2025

Our doors were fully open during this year's LDF, where we showcased the DUCT and Allotment collections for the first time.

Photographer Mark Cocksedge captured the space in a way that really complimented the dynamic display of both rug series.

Workshop with La Basketry

What fun it was to have La Basketry host a coaster workshop at our showroom, it’s always a joy to get creative with our wonderful community during the week of the London Design Festival.

The same colourful wool yarn that’s used for our rugs was used to make decorative corded circular coasters.
