Emily combines a training in art, graphics, and illustration with a deep love of all things interiors.
The collection has three designs in total and four available colourways, across two qualities of rug. Construct Amity has been hand knotted in Nepal in five colours of Tibetan wool with four pile heights. Construct Amedee and Construct Aldo are tufted in India, in five colours of New Zealand wool, using four pile heights. The different pile heights and block colours, work together to create Emily Forgot’s signature, graphical shapes. The interchangeable forms introduce a new technical element to the overall FLOOR_STORY edit and result in a completely unique and creative concept, not usually seen in rug design.
Crafted by punching strands of yarn onto a stretched canvas frame, hand-tufting brings a deep and luxurious texture. The feel of a hand-tufted rug is hard to beat and the technique is ideal for a myriad of shapes, painterly lines and bright, contrasting colours.
