Rug art that supports a vital cause
We've been supporting Choose Love, the pioneering new movement in humanitarian response that has been supporting refugees and displaced people since 2015. At Christmas we would usually ‘Buy the Shop’ at Choose Love’s annual pop-up store but this year we were keen to take our support up a notch.
These hand knotted rug art pieces are limited-edition. Each letter in the Choose Love logo has been made with wasted Tibetan wool left over from rug weaving, creating a more sustainable piece of wall or floor art. Because the wasted wool comes in a variety of colours, each piece is truly individual and curated by the weavers rather than designers. Please note that the colouring within the logo of each rug will vary due to the nature of being made from discarded wool.
All proceeds from the purchase of one of these products will go directly to Choose Love and distributed to their on-the-ground partners currently supporting refugees in 30 countries.
Labour intensive and painstaking, hand-knotting is the most traditional way of making and creates rugs of exceptional quality and longevity. Perfect for fine work and intricate patterns, a hand-knotted rug really is the don. Our hand-knotted styles range in density from 60-knots per inch right up to 150-knots for incredibly fine, velvet-like softness.
